Parent's Code Of Conduct......
Parents and spectators have a great influence over children and their enjoyment and success in football. All children play football because they want to be involved with the game and most of all because it is fun. It is important to remember that however good a child becomes at football it is important to re-enforce the following points;
·Children should enjoy football.
·Children should have a sense of personal achievement.
·Children should have self esteem.
·Children should be striving to improve their own skills and techniques.
As a parent and/or spectator, your attitude and expectations will have a significant bearing on children's attitudes towards;
·Other players.
·Managers, Coaches and Club officials.
·Match officials.
·Other spectators.
All parents associated with Redditch Utd Youth and Junior Football Club should always be positive and encourage all players in the correct way following the guidelines below;
·Applaud players from both teams.
·Never shout or scream at players during matches.
·Never try to coach players during training sessions or matches, leave it to the club appointed coach or manager in charge.
·Respect the match officials and their decisions at all times whether you agree with them or not.
·Encourage all players in the team – including those who may appear 'less talented' than others.
If all parents and spectators adhere to the above guidelines then we will all enjoy what should be a great game of football.
Smoking and Alcohol
· Parents/Spectators are kindly asked to refrain from partaking in the smoking of any substance, including nicotine, or the consumption of alcohol especially in the vicinity of the playing area/changing room before, during or after matches or training sessions. If such activities are to be undertaken please ensure they are done so sensibly, with consideration for others and in the appropriate location ie in the players lounge/bar and in designated 'smoking area' as directed by the host venue or at least away from the playing area. It is an offence, according to the F.A. to consume alcohol in the immediate vicinity of a football pitch especially on the touch line. Parents/Spectators should be positive role models and set positive examples promoting healthy lifestyles to both their own children and their team mates and also those of the visiting team and should seriously consider whether involvement in either of the above actions helps promote this.
